Zinho não tem dúvidas de que o Flamengo tem o melhor elenco do Brasil. Entretanto, o ex-jogador acredita que Arrascaeta é uma peça sem reposição à altura e isso pode se tornar um problema.
Em momentos importantes da temporada passada, o meia não pôde estar presente por conta de algumas lesões. O clube até buscou no mercado atletas que imaginava que poderiam suprir a ausência do atual camisa 10, mas sem sucesso.
“O único jogador do Flamengo que não tem substituto é o Arrascaeta. Até o Pedro, Gerson, Bruno Henrique, Léo Ortiz… têm peças de reposição. O Arrascaeta, por isso, é bom o Flamengo se preocupar em administrar este atleta. O grande problema dele tem sido lesões no meio da temporada para frente”, disse Zinho.
“Ele é um cara diferente, ele dita o ritmo. É um meia que articula e faz gols. Com ele bem, os outros também rendem. O Gerson se aproxima mais, o Pedro, voltando, tem um diálogo com ele… Se conseguir administrar isso, a tendência é brigar por todos os títulos”, completou o tetra.

Em razão do desgaste físico e, consequentemente, do risco de eventuais lesões, Filipe Luís decidiu poupar alguns jogadores para o duelo desta noite contra o Botafogo-PB, às 20h (de Brasília), pela ida da terceira fase da Copa do Brasil.
Além do uruguaio, Rossi, De la Cruz, Pedro e Alex Sandro, recém-recuperado de lesão, também sequer viajaram com a delegação rubro-negra.
Desta forma, uma provável escalação do Flamengo para este jogo tem Matheus Cunha, Varela, Léo Ortiz, Danilo e Ayrton Lucas; Everton Araújo, Allan, Plata (Matheus Gonçalves); Luiz Araújo, Michael e Bruno Henrique (Juninho).
