Segundo a imprensa saudita, Jorge Jesus já teria sido demitido do comando do Al-Hilal, que ainda não divulgou oficialmente a decisão. Com a saída do português de 70 anos, o nome de Ramón Díaz, que acumula duas passagens pelo clube de Riade — de 2016 a 2018 e 2022 a 2023 — ganhou forças e é um dos candidatos para o cargo.
Aos 65 anos, Ramón Díaz foi demitido do Corinthians há duas semanas, após a derrota para o Fluminense, no Brasileirão, e está livre no mercado. Pesa a favor do treinador argentino o fato dele ser ídolo da torcida do Al-Hilal devido ao seu longo trabalho a frente do time e os dois títulos do Campeonato Saudita — em 2016/17 e 2021/22.
Jorge Jesus tem contrato com o Al-Hilal até o meio de 2026, mas deve deixar o clube antes mesmo da disputa do Mundial de Clubes da Fifa, que acontecerá entre 14 de junho e 13 de julho — o time saudita está no Grupo H, ao lado de Real Madrid, Red Bull Salzburg e Pachuca.
