Původně se chtěla vrátit a cílila na další olympiádu za rok v Itálii. „Po skončení volna jsem si ale už nedokázala definovat cíle související s výkonem a to ovlivnilo i mou motivaci. Chybí mi těch pár procent, abych do přípravy dala všechno,“ řekla.
V roce 2017 získala Ulbingová zlato ve slalomu na MS, ve finále tehdy porazila právě Ledeckou. Pak přidala ještě stříbro předloni v obřím slalomu. V sezoně 2023/24 skončila vítězka pěti závodů Světového poháru v celkovém pořadí sedmá těsně před další českou reprezentantkou Zuzanou Maděrovou.
