Cafu está convencido de que a CBF deveria demover da ideia sobre ter um treinador estrangeiro no comando da seleção brasileira, e sugeriu Renato Gaúcho ou Rogério Ceni como opções alternativas. As declarações foram dadas em entrevista concedida ao “Resenha”, nesta sexta-feira (02).

Questionado sobre a “novela” envolvendo a escolha do futuro treinador da seleção, o ex-jogador disse que é necessário dar tempo e oportunidade para profissionais que estão em solo nacional.

“Traria Rogério Ceni ou Renato Gaúcho para esse pouco tempo. Um dos dois eu deixaria suprindo essa função, daria a responsabilidade. Terminou a Copa do Mundo, decide. Vou dar sequência ou não para esse treinador.

“A gente que tem parar com esse paradigma de que treinador que começa treinando seleção brasileira não vai para a Copa do Mundo, deixa o cara trabalhar. Se vai dar essa responsabilidade para Abel, Jorge Jesus ou Ancelotti, dá para um treinador que já está aqui, manda ele implantar o esquema”, concluiu.
