Lionel Messi scores golazo to get Inter Miami back on track in domination of New York Red Bulls

Getty Images After crashing out of the Concacaf Champions Cup midweek, Inter Miami were able to break out of their mini funk while dispatching the New York Red Bulls 4-1. The Herons would get to a 3-1 lead by halftime thanks to Fafa Picault and Luis Suarez finding the back of the net. For Suarez, this ends a nine-match scoreless run for him, which will be quite important moving forward for the Herons. Prior to the match, manager Javier Mascherano stated that this team needs to be more than Lionel Messi, and he got that immediately, but that didn't mean that the Argentine wouldn't make his presence felt as well. In the second half, Messi and Telasco Segovia combined for Miami's fourth goal of the match, and while it included some bad defending by the Red Bulls, that can't take away […]

Where to watch Rangers vs. Celtic, Old Firm live stream: Scottish Premiership prediction, odds, lineups, pick

Getty Images Celtic may have wrapped up the Scottish title to close out April, but now they get to take that celebration on the road to Glasgow to face their rivals, Rangers, in the latest installment of the Old Firm. This is Celtic's 55th league title, bringing them to a tie with Rangers for the most in Scottish Premiership history. Holding an astounding 17-point advantage over Rangers, being able to win this match would be another feather in Brendan Rodgers during what has been an impressive time leading Celtic. Despite not advancing in Champions League play, Celtic were still able to push Bayern Munich during the playoff stage as they work on ascending back to being a force in European play, along with in Scotland. Rangers will need to do significant work to catch up to their rivals, but winning a […]

What’s next for Clippers? Regular-season plan worked, but long-term questions remain after playoff exit

Getty Images What must be so frustrating for the Los Angeles Clippers is that this was the year in which things actually went right. Kawhi Leonard was healthy at the end. James Harden staved off age-related decline and made an All-Star team at 35. He had another one of his infamous elimination game collapses, but was otherwise fine in the playoffs. Ivica Zubac contended for an All-NBA slot. The offseason moves were basically flawless. They seemingly peaked at the right time, ending the regular season 18-3 and becoming one of the more popular underdog picks to win the Western Conference. This was the year they've been building toward. And they still lost in the first round to the Nuggets, their tormentor throughout the Leonard era, at perhaps the most dysfunctional point in the Nikola Jokić era.
