
„Týmy jsou velmi vyrovnané a každý si v té sérii někdy vybere slabší chvilku. My jsme si ji vybrali včera ve třetí čtvrtině, Brno dneska na začátku druhého poločasu, kdy nebylo víceméně schopné trefit koš. Takovéhle detaily zkrátka mohou rozhodovat. Dneska jsme byli šťastnější, protože výsledek neodpovídá průběhu toho zápasu,“ řekl České televizi děčínský trenér Tomáš Grepl, který opět postrádal zraněnou oporu Jordana Ogundirana.
Nejlepším střelcem vítězů byl Isaac Davidson s 18 body. Lukáš Feštr trefil čtyři z pěti trojek a dal 16 bodů. Hosté proměnili 24 z 27 trestných hodů.
Brnu nepomohly výkony Jordana Browna a Dylana Frye, kteří dali po 20 bodech. „Dali jsme hrozně brzo hlavy dolů. Děčín hrál líp, ale bylo to hlavně o nás, o našem nasazení. Ve třetí čtvrtce jsme se nemohli prosadit. Přestali jsme hrát jako v play off. Tohle je semifinále a musíme do toho dát všechno,“ uvedl domácí kouč Martin Vaněk. „Bylo tam asi trošku podcenění. Mysleli jsme si, že včera to šlo samo a dnes to bude stejný. Že je Děčín bez Ogundirana a vyhrajeme,“ dodal.
