After Donald Trump lost hope that Boeing would deliver a fully refurbished Air Force One, the President of the United States will receive a new luxury private jet, The Post reported.
The commander-in-chief will receive an L3Harris aircraft equipped with suites, luxury carpets, leather sofas and more, which was once owned by the Qatari government, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The interior of the opulent plane was designed by the famous French interior design firm Alberto Pinto Cabinet, and features gold walls and furniture, which evoke the opulent residence in Trump Tower.
L3Harris is working to transform the luxurious aircraft into one with unspecified systems, suitable for a presidential jet.
The plane, which had an initial price tag of $400 million, will serve as an interim aircraft while Trump waits for Boeing to complete work on the existing, somewhat aging presidential fleet.
Trump wants to have the plane in his possession by early fall and has been regularly contacting the company for updates, sources told The Wall Street Journal.
Trump turned to the Florida-based contractor after Boeing informed the administration that it would not be able to replace the president’s Air Force One fleet until after he left office.
A multi-billion dollar plane
Boeing has been working on the two obsolete aircraft since 2017, when Trump, in his first term, awarded the scrutinized company a $3.9 billion contract to replace the aircraft, known to the military as VC-25A aircraft and as Air Force One when the president is on board.
The fleet has been around since the George H.W. Bush administration and requires intensive maintenance, but Boeing is reportedly too far behind on the project, so it is now estimated to be completed by 2035.
The project was initially expected to be completed last year, but has been hampered by a number of setbacks with suppliers, engineering and manufacturing, and is now billions of dollars over budget.
The Trump administration even considered canceling the contract before taking office in January, and according to some reports, Elon Musk pressured Boeing officials to give him detailed information, which “made some Boeing executives uncomfortable,” according to the Wall Street Journal.
“I’m not happy with Boeing,” Trump said, according to reports.
In February, Trump visited the 747, owned by Qatar, in West Palm Beach and joked about buying it and turning it into the plane he had been waiting for so patiently.
