O Atlético-MG vencia o Mirassol e ficava fora da zona de rebaixamento do Brasileirão, mas levou o empate no fim da partida e segue entre os quatro últimos colocados da competição, com seis pontos ganhos. O Galo espera que a rodada lhe seja benéfica para que, em caso de vitória, termine fora do Z-4.

Enquanto espera pela possível chegada de Dudu, Cuca terá de lidar com os vários problemas de lesões aos quais a equipe enfrenta. Júnior Santos voltou a treinar, mas sua participação em campo na partida desta segunda-feira ainda está em xeque. Enquanto isso, Alan Franco, Lyanco, Cadu, Gabriel Menino e Guilherme Arana serão desfalques certos diante do Juventude.
