Třináctka draftu z roku 2021 se v základní části této sezony, na jejímž konci unikla Flames jen velmi těsně účast v play off, zařadila mezi klíčové postavy týmu. Ve svém prvním celém ročníku v NHL nastavil Coronato svá osobní maxima v odehraných zápasech (77), gólech (24), nahrávkách (23) i bodech (47).
