Dvaadvacetiletý Baláž je litvínovským odchovancem, v A-týmu Vervy zatím odehrál 54 zápasů s bilancí 1+5. V minulém ročníku extraligy nastoupil v 23 utkáních základní části a přidal tři starty v předkole play off. Zároveň hrál i za Chomutov v první lize.
O deset let starší Jurčík obléká žlutočerný dres již od sezony 2010/11. V extralize odehrál 516 utkání (32+51), v uplynulém ročníku stihl kvůli zdravotním problémům nastoupit pouze do devíti zápasů.
Litvínovský generální ředitel Pavel Hynek označil Jurčíka za stálici a symbol klubové loajality. „Ondru zastavila v loňském ročníku dvě vážná zranění, což byla škoda pro něj i pro celý tým, protože nám chyběl. Věříme, že ho zdraví podrží a on bude znovu naším platným hráčem,“ doplnil sportovní manažer klubu Tomáš Vrábel.
