Ve druhé třetině pak poslal Kanadu do vedení Xavier Villeneuve, ve třetí části přidali další góly Cole Reschny, Jack Nesbitt a Ryan Roobroeck. Čisté konto udržel Jack Ivankovic.
Švédové získali jistotu medaile na sedmém MS osmnáctek za sebou, když se postarali o překvapení na úkor domácího celku a překazili tak očekávané finále zámořských rivalů. Utkání o bronz mezi USA a Slovenskem začne dnes ve 21:30 SELČ, finále Kanada – Švédsko se odehraje v noci na neděli od 2:00. Kanaďané mohou získat šesté zlato. Švédové budou hrát o třetí titul, naposledy triumfovali v roce 2022. Rekordmany jsou Američané s 11 zlatými medailemi.

The Calgary Flames have signed forward Matt Coronato to a seven-year, $45.50 million contract, the team announced Saturday. The 22-year-old right-shot forward was slated to be a restricted free agent this summer.
