Juan Pablo Vojvoda segue sem perder para o São Paulo. No empate em 0 a 0, sexta-feira, no Morumbi, o comandante do Fortaleza manteve um retrospecto bastante positivo sobre o Tricolor e aproveitou também para exaltar o clube paulista.

Em entrevista coletiva, recordou uma passagem ainda como torcedor do Newell’s Old Boys na final da Libertadores de 1992. Na ocasião, a equipe brasileira levou a melhor na decisão por pênaltis e conquistou ali seu primeiro grande torneio continental.

“Sabemos da grandeza do São Paulo. Estive aqui pelo estádio, olhando a história deste clube com Libertadores e Mundial. É muito difícil jogar neste campo. Muito respeito, desde pequeno assisti à final de 1992 como torcedor do Newell’s Old Boys. Em Rosário foi 1 a 0, aqui perdeu 1 a 0 e SPFC venceu nos pênaltis”, disse Vojvoda.

“A história que cerca o Morumbi e o São Paulo está na minha cabeça há muito tempo”, completou o treinador argentino.

Vojvoda invicto contra o SPFC

Depois de dominar o primeiro tempo, o Fortaleza apresentou uma queda de rendimento no segundo tempo, sendo salvo duas vezes pelo goleiro João Ricardo. O arqueiro do Leão, inclusive, defendeu uma cobrança de pênalti batido por Ferreirinha.

Apesar da posição incômoda ainda na tabela do Brasileirão, a equipe cearense comemorou ao menos um ponto levado para casa. O resultado também ratificou o retrospecto positivo de Vojvoda em jogos contra o SPFC.

Desde que assumiu o comando do Leão, em 2021, o técnico não sabe o que é perder para o time paulista. Foram 11 jogos, com seis vitórias e quatro empates para o time cearense.

Foco na Libertadores

No dia 6, o Fortaleza enfrenta o Colo-Colo, às 21h30 (de Brasília), na Arena Castelão, pela quarta rodada da fase de grupos da Libertadores. Com quatro pontos, o Leão é o terceiro colocado na chave.
