Walter Casagrande gostou do que viu na vitória do Corinthians por 4 a 2 sobre o Internacional, sábado, pela sétima rodada do Brasileirão. Com três gols de Yuri Alberto e um de Igor Coronado, o Timão conquistou seu segundo resultado positivo na era Dorival Júnior.
Para o ex-atacante, o time paulista precisava de um triunfo contundente sobre um forte adversário, o que pode resultar na virada de chave para a sequência da temporada.
“Uma noite que parecia caminhar para um desastre se transformou em uma grande vitória contra um forte adversário. Além de ter ultrapassado o próprio Internacional na tabela, deu um belo salto, pulando de 12º para 7º lugar. Claro que a rodada apenas começou, mas essa vitória pressiona todos os adversários que ainda estão com 7 pontos…”, escreveu Casagrande.
Casagrande é otimista, mas tem os pés no chão
Para o futuro, Casão parece otimista, sobretudo quando Dorival tiver um tempo maior para colocar em prática suas ideias e deixar o time muito mais preparado para os demais desafios de 2025.
“Faltam poucos jogos até começar o Super Mundial de Clubes, e será o momento em que Dorival terá para treinar, formar sua equipe e conhecer melhor o ambiente para voltar com tudo depois”, prevê o ídolo corintiano.
Considerando que o Corinthians ainda está sob o efeito da troca na comissão técnica, Casagrande prefere esperar mais alguns jogos.
“Está sendo um ótimo início de trabalho, mas, como falei antes, ainda faz parte do efeito da mudança, e só saberemos de algo mais concreto daqui a uns seis jogos”, alertou.

Na terça-feira, o Corinthians recebe o América de Cáli, às 21h30, na Neo Química Arena, pela 4ª rodada da fase de grupos da Sul-Americana.
