V Miami se závodí od roku 2022 a za tu dobu zde dokázali vyhrát pouze dva piloti, jimiž jsou oba nedělní startující z první řady. Verstappen zde vyhrál dvě Velké ceny a jeden sprint, Norris si připsal vítězství v minulé Velké ceně a v sobotním sprintu.
Ve Velké ceně v hlavním městě amerického státu Florida ještě nikdy nevyhrál pilot startující z první řady, letošek je ale k vítězům kvalifikací prozatím příznivý. Jediný, komu se letos nepodařilo proměnit pole position ve vítězství v hlavním závodě, je Verstappen z minulé Velké ceny Saúdské Arábie.
Z druhé řady odstartuje v Miami nováček Andrea Kimi Antonelli z Mercedesu, jemuž se aktuální závodní víkend z pohledu časů daří. Zklamáním pro něj tak byl výsledek sprintu, do něhož startoval z prvního místa a po penalizacích soupeřů skončil sedmý.
Vedle něj se na čtvrtou příčku na startovním roštu postaví aktuální lídr šampionátu a Norrisův týmový kolega Oscar Piastri. Právě na druhého Norrise má Australan aktuálně náskok devíti bodů.
Formule 1 2025
Letošní sezona seriálu formule 1 začala 16. března Velkou cenou Austrálie a končí 7. prosince v Abú Zabí. Titul mezi jezdci obhajuje Nizozemec Max Verstappen z Red Bullu a mezi stájemi britský McLaren.
