Walter Casagrande fez questão de exaltar Gabigol na vitória do Cruzeiro sobre o Flamengo, domingo, pela sétima rodada do Brasileirão. Acionado nos minutos finais, o centroavante marcou de pênalti nos acréscimos, garantindo um triunfo importante para os mineiros.
“Emocionante e sinistra porque estava 1 a 1 quando nos acréscimos do segundo tempo (90+7), o árbitro marcou um pênalti para o Cruzeiro. Gabriel, sendo um dos melhores batedores do país, pegou a bola com personalidade, mas sem dúvida nervoso por ser contra seu ex-time”, iniciou Casão, no UOL.
Principal jogador do Flamengo nos últimos anos, Gabigol preferiu não comemorar o tento em respeito ao ex-clube. Segundo ele, até hoje acompanha os jogos do rubro-negro e vibra com eventuais títulos.
“Era o primeiro encontro de Gabriel com a camisa do Cruzeiro contra seu ex-clube, onde cansou de ser artilheiro, campeão e de fazer gols decisivos”, recordou Casagrande.
Elogiado por Casagrande, Gabigol se declara ao Flamengo
‘Predestinado’, Gabigol explicou por que optou por não comemorar o gol. Segundo ele, a história construída com a camisa do time carioca motivou sua decisão.
“Não comemorei, é respeito pelo Flamengo, total. Foi o time pelo qual eu mais joguei, foi onde eu mais morei. Foi o time que me deu tudo. Todo mundo sabe, meu amor, respeito. Vejo todos os jogos, quando é campeão, eu comemoro também”, apontou o atacante.

O centroavante celeste revelou que mantém contato com alguns jogadores do Flamengo. Além disso, esclareceu que o carinho pelo clube permanece intacto e que o único problema que teve foi com o ex-presidente rubro-negro.
“O que aconteceu comigo foi com um presidente, não foi com o resto das pessoas e com o clube em si. Todo mundo sabe do meu amor pelo Flamengo, o meu carinho pelo Flamengo.”
