Eine Legende wird 80.
Bayerns Klub-Patron Uli Hoeneß (73) hat zum runden Geburtstag von Jupp Heynckes große Worte gefunden. Der Ehrenpräsident schwärmt vom Triple-Trainer in einem Beitrag für das Klubmagazin „51“.
Dort schreibt er: „Du bist ein Freund, für den ich durch dick und dünn gehe. Du warst immer da, wenn der FC Bayern dich gebraucht hat.“
[–>Die beiden sind seit Jahrzehnten eng befreundet. Insgesamt viermal hat Hoeneß Heynckes zu den Bayern gelockt. Meist in höchster Not. Dabei feierte er aber immer große Erfolge: Meistertitel 1989, 1990, 2013 und 2018, dazu der DFB-Pokalsieg 2013. Sein größter Triumph: das historische Triple im Jahr 2013 mit Meisterschaft, Pokal und Champions-League-Sieg. Ein Erfolg, der bis heute untrennbar mit seinem Namen verbunden ist.
Später mutmaßte Heynckes: „Das war wohl der glücklichste Moment in der Funktionärskarriere von Uli Hoeneß.“

Der Klub-Patron adelt weiter: „Wenn ich auf all die Trainer zurückblicke, die wir bei Bayern hatten, bist du derjenige, zu dem ich bei aller Wertschätzung für die anderen großen Persönlichkeiten wie Ottmar Hitzfeld, Pep Guardiola, Udo Lattek, Carlo Ancelotti oder Louis van Gaal emotional die tiefste Verbindung habe.“
Auch während der Haftzeit von Hoeneß riss der Kontakt zu Heynckes nie ab. Als Heynckes 2016 den Ehrenring der Stadt Mönchengladbach verliehen bekam, war es ausgerechnet Hoeneß, der die Laudatio hielt. Sein erster öffentlicher Auftritt außerhalb Münchens nach 637 Tagen Gefängnis. Damals sagte er über die Trainer-Legende: „Es gibt keinen besseren Menschen auf der Welt.“

Für die Zukunft wünscht ihm Hoeneß weiter alles Gute. Und: „Dass du, so oft es geht, bei deinem FC Bayern vorbeischaust. Dieser Verein wäre ohne dich, deine Verdienste und deine Menschlichkeit um ein Vielfaches ärmer. Und das ist nicht in Toren, Siegen oder Titeln zu messen.“

Georgia football recruiting: Jared Curtis, No. 4 QB in 2026, recommits to Bulldogs to end battle with Oregon
Imagn Images Jared Curtis, the No. 4 quarterback recruit for the 2026 class according to 247Sports, recommitted to Georgia on 247Sports' YouTube channel and ending a tight recruiting battle with Oregon. Curtis originally committed to Georgia in March 2024 but backed off this past October; however, he reaffirmed his pledge to give the Bulldogs a blue-chip quarterback for the upcoming cycle. Curtis would be the highest-ranked quarterback to sign with Georgia out of high school since Justin Fields in 2018 -- the No. 2 ranked player in the 2018 recruiting class.
