There aren’t many people in the world who can say their every move is surveilled and followed by an exhaustive amount of people. It comes with being a celebrity, but in the eye of Justin Bieber, it has gone too far. Sick and tired of being followed around, Bieber has blown up at paparazzi a few times in 2025, while his overall behavior has been considered “concerning”.
Despite all of the negative attention, Bieber hasn’t been shy about going out in public. But he’s really only seen doing so for community events or casual outings. Over the past few years, it’s been rare to see him at awards shows or music industry events. This year’s Met Gala was no exception. But what raise eyebrows was that his wife, Hailey Bieber, attended without Justin. That didn’t help quell rumors, likely unsubstantiated, that their marriage is rocky.

Justin did well to support his wife from home, though, posting a pair of pictures of Hailey from the event on his own Instagram account. Justin’s active Instagram account also revealed the reason for his absence: he was busy watching the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL Playoffs.

Bieber’s favorite hockey team is in the second round of the playoffs, with Game 1 taking place on the night of the Met Gala. Toronto won the first game of the series, winning 5-4 against the Florida Panthers in a thrilling game.
Bieber clearly had the sports itch on Monday, as he also posted several videos of a golf outing. In fact, he posted nine different videos of shots he made while on the golf course. One of them was a putt with a pitching wedge.
