O futuro técnico da seleção brasileira ainda é um grande ponto de interrogação. Além de Carlo Ancelotti, outro nome bem avaliado pela CBF é o de Abel Ferreira, do Palmeiras. Entretanto, a possibilidade de o português ser o escolhido não agrada André Rizek.
“Eu não sou um grande entusiasta do Abel Ferreira na seleção brasileira. Não é por ele ser estrangeiro, não é pela competência, até porque ela é inquestionável, mas esse cargo de técnico da seleção brasileira você exerce também a função de embaixador do futebol brasileiro pelo mundo”, inicia o jornalista.
Rizek, inclusive, recordou a trajetória de Dunga como treinador do Brasil. Apesar dos bons resultados, o ex-volante não tinha uma relação das mais amistosas com alguns jornalistas.
“O Dunga, por exemplo, foi um bom técnico de seleção brasileira e um péssimo embaixador. Ele caiu justamente por isso, não pelo seu trabalho. Aquele time dele competia muito, mas as coletivas dele eram sempre pancadas na imprensa. O Abel é semelhante ao Dunga neste sentido”, avisa Rizek.
Edmilson contrapõe Rizek
Pentacampeão do mundo em 2002, Edmilson vê com bons olhos Abel Ferreira no comando da seleção brasileira. Em sua análise, o treinador reúne todas as características de um profissional preparado para tal desafio.
“Se fosse para trazer um estrangeiro, para mim seria o Abel Ferreira. Assumiu o Palmeiras com pouca experiência, fez jogadores normais jogarem [bem]. Conhece o mercado do futebol brasileiro, conhece a imprensa. É um cara em quem a gente deveria apostar”, disse Edmilson, em entrevista à CazéTV.
Abel não é o preferido da CBF
Ednaldo Rodrigues, presidente da CBF, não esconde que Carlo Ancelotti é o plano A. Desde a saída de Tite, o dirigente tentou contratar o técnico do Real Madrid, mas não obteve sucesso. Nas últimas semanas, retomou contatos através de um emissário enviado para a cidade espanhola.
Na segunda, a imprensa internacional chegou a noticiar que o italiano teria chegado a um acordo de rescisão com os merengues, ficando assim livre para acertar com a seleção.
