Doch wie es derzeit aussieht, könnte mit der Meisterschaft maximal nur noch ein weiterer Titel beim derzeitigen Tabellenführer der BBL dazu kommen. Denn: Lucic, dessen Vertrag beim Deutschen Meister ausläuft, spielt mit dem Gedanken, die Bayern nach dieser Saison im Sommer zu verlassen und in seine Heimat zurückzukehren.
Serbische Medien berichten, dass ihm ein stark reduziertes Angebot von Partizan Belgrad vorliegen würde. Damit würde sich ein Kreis schließen, denn Lucic spielte bereits von 2008 bis 2013 für den serbischen Euroleague-Klub, wechselte dann zum spanischen Klub Valencia, kam nach drei Jahren in Spanien 2016 nach München.

Lucic, dem auch ein reduziertes Angebot der Bayern vorliegt, hatte in den letzten Jahren regelmäßig mit langwierigen Verletzungen zu kämpfen, absolvierte in den letzten fünf Jahren nur die Hälfte aller BBL-Spiele. Doch der Serbe schaffte es, teils nach monatelangen Pausen, immer wieder in den Kader zurück. 2024 wurde er rechtzeitig zu den Playoffs fit, war ein wichtiger Faktor im Finale gegen Alba Berlin.

Und sollte Lucic in den nächsten Wochen verletzungsfrei bleiben, will der Serbe noch ein, oder zwei Jahre spielen. Für München wäre der Abgang des dienstältesten Spielers und Identifikationsfigur auf jeden Fall ein großer Verlust.
