Praticamente classificado na Copa Libertadores da América, o SPFC soma 10 pontos no grupo D. Vampeta avaliou a temporada da equipe do MorumBIS e descartou as chances de disputar pelo título do Brasileirão Série A, mas ressaltou que é possível sonhar com as competições mata-matas.
“Para mata-mata, eu concordo (que pode brigar). Agora, para o Campeonato Brasileiro, você vê aí, está invicto mas com um monte de empate. Aí esses empates fazem falta para título. Mas no mata-mata tem camisa, é tricampeão dessa competição, tricampeão Mundial… O São Paulo pode se igualar a qualquer um aqui na América do Sul”, decretou o comentarista.
Nesta terça-feira (6), o SPFC foi até o Peru, venceu o Alianza Lima por 2 a 0 e encaminhou a vaga para as oitavas de final da Libertadores.
Vampeta define favoritos na competição
Mesmo indicando a possibilidade do Tricolor Paulista “ameaçar” as grandes forças, o ex-volante não acredita que a equipe comandada por Luis Zubeldía está no top-3 dos favoritos.
“São Paulo não está entre os favoritos ao título, mas no mata-mata pode encarar Palmeiras, Flamengo e River Plate, que são os favoritos ao título”, opinou Vampeta.
O Verdão de Abel Ferreira está com 100% de aproveitamento na competição, enquanto o Fla ocupa a terceira posição de seu grupo e precisa de uma vitória nesta semana.
Zubeldía dá volta por cima no SPFC
Depois de balançar no cargo e correr riscos de demissão, Zubeldía conseguiu ganhar fôlego e se firmar. Apesar da campanha instável no Brasileirão Série A, com seis empates em sete jogos, o São Paulo está muito bem na Libertadores.
O treinador argentino deu respostas positivas ao apostar nos jovens jogadores da base após perder Lucas Moura, Oscar e Calleri por contusão. Agora, a dupla de meio-campista está voltando e o comandante terá mais opções para trabalhar.
