Den „Reds“ unter Trainer Arne Slot (46) schwebt bei einer Personalie ein millionenschweres Tausch-Geschäft vor, um einen wegen schwankender Leistungen in Ungnade gefallenen Star von der Gehaltsliste zu bekommen.
So sei der Klub bereit, den Uruguayer Darwin Nunez für gerade einmal 40 Mio. Euro zu verkaufen, berichtet „AnfieldWatch“ – allerdings nur an einen bestimmten Verein!
Im Wintertransfer-Fenster verlangte Liverpool noch stattliche 100 Mio. für Nunez, rückte davon aber in jüngster Vergangenheit bereits ab. Jetzt also noch einmal ein krasser Preissturz für den Stürmer, der allerdings an Bedingungen geknüpft ist.
Das Angebot gelte demnach nur für Atletico Madrid. Im Gegenzug wolle Liverpool den 120-Mio-Euro-Mann Julian Alvarez verpflichten und mit Nunez ein wenig den Preis drücken.

Laut des Berichts wird Alvarez, der einst bei Manchester City spielte, als „perfekte Ergänzung“ für das Team von Arne Slot angesehen.
Dass der englische Meister Alvarez im Vsier hat, kommt angesichts seiner Leistungen wenig überraschend: Der Argentinier, der Atletico rund 95 Mio. Euro kostete, hat sich mit 27 Toren in seiner Debütsaison in die Herzen der Bosse und Fans geschossen.
