Erling Haaland is ready to return to Manchester City’s squad for Saturday’s trip to Southampton but Pep Guardiola is unsure if the striker will start.
Haaland suffered an ankle injury in the FA Cup victory over Bournemouth on March 30 and returned to training in April.
Guardiola said at his pre-match press conference on Friday that Haaland is “ready, he’s fit. If he’ll start, we’ll decide tomorrow”.

The City head coach confirmed that midfielder Rodri, who has not played since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in October against Arsenal, is “still not available”.
Southampton have already been relegated and with three league matches remaining have just 11 points, which would be a jointly-held Premier League record-low points tally alongside Derby County from 2007-08.
Guardiola, whose side have won each of their most recent five games, said of the match: “It starts 0-0. It’s a massive, important game for us, definitely. There’s just three games left and we have respect for them.”
City have three Premier League matches remaining this term and the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on May 17 before they participate in the revamped Club World Cup, held in the United States from June 14 to July 13.
