Úřadující mistři sice oznámili příchod nejstaršího Tomáše, přičemž v týmu zůstává i Hynek, ale brněnský šéf už na začátku týdne naznačoval, že na Radima zatím Kometa nedosáhne. „Nezastírám, že bych jednou chtěl všechny tři bratry v jednom brněnském útoku, ale příchod Radima v tuhle chvíli není ve hře,“ říkal Zábranský.
Takřka dvoumetrový rodák z Havlíčkova Brodu, jenž zvládá roli centra i křídla, totiž dostal zajímavou nabídku ze Švédska. S ambiciózním Färjestadem, jenž patří k nejlepším klubům na starém kontinentu, podškrábl smlouvu do konce sezony 2026/2027. „Vím, že přicházím do jednoho z nejslavnějších klubů v Evropě,“ vzkázal Radim Zohorna pro web švédského celku.
Färjestad příchodem mohutného forvarda reaguje i na odchod Davida Tomáška, jenž se vydal do Edmontonu zabojovat o NHL. „Jeho kombinace výšky a dovedností je neobvyklá. O švédské lize ví od svých bratrů, kteří tady dříve hráli. Myslíme si, že svým herním stylem se do ní velmi dobře hodí,“ uvedl sportovní ředitel Rickard Wallin.
Zohorna si v minulosti zahrál i slavnou NHL, za Pittsburgh a Calgary zapsal celkem 68 zápasů. Před minulou sezonou se vrátil do Evropy, za švýcarské Lugano zaznamenal 26 bodů (11+15) ve 45 duelech.
