A ideia inicial é que os atletas sigam até o CT Ninho do Urubu, ou até um ponto na Barra da Tijuca, junto do ônibus do clube, que é escoltado por seguranças particulares e pela Polícia Militar.
O setor de segurança do Flamengo normalmente desloca funcionários para o desembarque, mas eles não acompanham os jogadores em seus veículos. Isso é feito por seguranças dos próprios atletas.
Normalmente, os jogadores possuem funcionários que servem como “faz tudo”. E além do apoio na segurança, atuam como motoristas. É o caso de Rossi, que tem um estrangeiro na função.
Outros atletas possuem seguranças particulares, alguns deles policiais. O Flamengo disponibiliza segurança institucionais para o presidente Luiz Eduardo Baptista, por exemplo. O diretor José Boto conta com um motorista, apenas.
Para distribuir os funcionários entre os atletas, não há efetivo suficiente. Por isso, a melhor solução até agora é o uso do ônibus, que muitos jogadores abrem mão quando chegam ao Rio de viagens, pois preferem chegar mais rápido em suas casas.
Apesar dos riscos, funcionários e dirigentes do Flamengo entendem que a segurança nas vias expressas como a Linha Vermelha e Amarela é de responsabilidade do Governo do Estado, e prometem cobrar maior atenção.
