Chegada de Diniz traz sobrevida a um criticado Coutinho, no Vasco

A chegada do técnico Fernando Diniz ao Vasco, anunciada ontem pelo clube, pode dar um novo vigor na relação da equipe com a torcida. Após a derrota por 4 a 1 para o Puerto Cabello, na Venezuela, na última terça-feira, pela Copa Sul-Americana, nem mesmo o “cria” da base cruzmaltina, Philippe Coutinho, resistiu às duras críticas após a derrota .

Embora seja querido por grande parte dos vascaínos, o meia chega à reta final do contrato de empréstimo com o clube do coração em um momento conturbado: o Vasco não vence há oito jogos, e enfrentará o Vitória hoje, às 18h30, no Barradão, precisando pontuar para desencostar da zona do rebaixamento do Campeonato Brasileiro.

Diniz, porém, ainda não estará à beira do gramado — só reestreará no jogo seguinte, contra o Lanús, em Buenos Aires, pela Sul-Americana. Com isso, a equipe seguirá sendo comandada pelo interino Felipe Loureiro.

Jogador com mais expetativas da torcida, Coutinho pode ser um dos que ganham com a chegada do técnico. Com cinco gols em 19 jogos nesta temporada, o meia teve boas atuações no ano, mas esbarrou em lesões que o mantiveram longe de uma minutagem consistente para desenvolver o seu melhor futebol, vivendo altos e baixos a cada partida. Embora isso seja motivo para dividir a torcida entre amantes e críticos do meia, o comentarista do Sportv, Rodrigo Coutinho, ressalta que essa limitação foi um dos fatores que fizeram o jogador voltar a atuar no Brasil.

— Não podemos esquecer que estamos falando de um jogador que, há pelo menos seis anos, não consegue fechar uma temporada com muito jogos. Foram muitas lesões no joelho, musculares, problemas nas costas… — disse o comentarista: — Ele só está no Brasil hoje por conta disso. Porque, com o nível técnico que ele tem, se conseguisse ter um desempenho físico alto, faria mais diferença em campo e nem estaria no Brasil.

Além do nível técnico, o modelo de jogo do Vasco deixou o jogador cada vez mais longe do ataque, sua principal valência, para um jogo mais próximo de embates no meio de campo, característica que nunca fez parte de seu estilo de jogo, na visão do ex-jogador e agora comentarista, Graffite:

— Quando você tem um jogador como Coutinho, tem que ter um sistema de jogo adaptado para ele. O Coutinho não pode buscar a bola longe do gol para ter que conduzir até o ataque e esperar a equipe sair da defesa.

Eric Faria, também comentarista do Sportv, aponta que esse é um diferencial de outros clubes cariocas e que pode ser explorado pelo novo técnico da equipe.

— Não adianta querer que Coutinho faça marcação pressão, ele não fazia nem quando era mais novo. Ele é um jogador que precisa da bola no pé. Para isso, o time precisa jogar com a bola no pé. Algo parecido com o Arrascaeta no Flamengo, o Almada no Botafogo e o Ganso no Fluminense do Diniz. Ele nunca teve um time no Vasco que pudesse proporcionar isso para ele, nem com Rafael Paiva, nem com Carille — diz o especialista.
