Přestože už má tým z Edenu jistý titul a do 314. derby pražských S vstupoval s luxusním náskokem dvaadvaceti bodů, mělo utkání od prvních minut náboj a tempo.
Krátce po úvodním hvizdu mohl otevřít skóre Vasil Kušej, ale jeho technický pokus zpoza vápna vyrazil Peter Vindahl.
V deváté minutě už ale sparťanský brankář kapituloval. Lukáš Provod zahájil protiútok na vlastní polovině, posunul míč doprava na Davida Douděru, který uvolnil Kušeje. Ten poté našel v šestnáctce Tomáše Chorého. Vytáhlý útočník se po natažení k míči šikovně otočil a střelou ke vzdálenější tyči otevřel skóre.
Sešívaní mohli vedení navýšit už do přestávky. V 17. minutě byl Provod nejprve vychytaný Vindahlem, později jeho další pokus zastavila obrana.
První půle přinesla i kontroverzní momenty. Letenští se dožadovali červené karty pro Jana Bořila po faulu na Victora Olatunjiho těsně před vápnem. Na opačné straně pak Olatunji, který už měl žlutou kartu, zezadu přistrčil Provoda – sudí však disciplinární trest nevytáhl ani v tomto případě.
Do druhého poločasu nenastoupil kvůli zdravotním potížím Lukáš Haraslín. Místo něj se objevil Albion Rrahmani a brzy na sebe upozornil. V 56. minutě se kosovský reprezentant ve vápně prosadil šikovnou střelou na zadní tyč a vyrovnal.
Sparta sahala po obratu o osm minut později. Olatunji se po smolném odrazu od Bořila dostal do úniku, ale zakončil těsně vedle pravé tyče.
Slavia převzala iniciativu v závěrečné desetiminutovce, kdy stupňovala tlak. V 84. minutě Divine Teah poslal povedený centr na zadní tyč, kde nechali sparťané nepochopitelně volného Oscara – a ten rozhodl. Letenští se dožadovali odpískání ruky liberijského záložníka, ale VAR gól potvrdil.
Sešívaní tak ovládli i třetí derby této sezony a vedou nad Spartou o propastných pětadvacet bodů – naposledy byl podobný rozdíl v covidovém roce 2020, kdy Slavia rovněž s přehledem získala titul.
