Wer aber erst einmal auf der Ersatzbank Platz nehmen musste: Leroy Sané.
Der Offensiv-Star wurde von Bayern-Trainer Vincent Kompany nicht für die Startelf gegen Gladbach nominiert, wurde nur eingewechselt.
Matthäus äußert brisanten Sané-Verdacht
Lothar Matthäus äußert einen brisanten Verdacht über den Bank-Platz von Sané. „Wer da nichts Böses ahnt …“, sagte der ehemalige Weltstar bei Sky, wo er als TV-Experte bei den Top-Spielen der Bundesliga zum Einsatz kommt. „Ich kenne die Diskussionen der letzten Tage mit dem Beraterwechsel. Ich glaube, das ist eine kleine Retourkutsche des Vereins. Zu zeigen: mit uns nicht“, fügte Matthäus an.

Und der hat in München Spuren hinterlassen. Der Israeli gilt als knallharter Verhandler. Das hat ihm bei den Bayern den Beinamen „Piranha“ eingebracht. So betitelte ihn einst Bayerns-Ehrenpräsident Uli Hoeneß (73). Damals ging es um den Abgang von Robert Lewandowski (36) zum FC Barcelona. Zahavi drückte den Wechsel damals durch.

Fakt ist jetzt: Der Poker zwischen Sané und Bayern ist plötzlich wieder völlig offen. Fakt ist aber auch: Die Bayern werden das Angebot nicht nachbessern. Wenn Sané bleiben möchte, muss er auf Gehalt verzichten. Damit soll er nicht einverstanden sein.
Und was sagen die Bayern? „Wir müssen uns auf eine neue Situation einstellen“, meinte Sportvorstand Max Eberl am Samstag: „Es ist eine Woche her. Schauen wir mal, was passiert.“ Sané könne „völlig frei entscheiden, wer ihn berät und wer ihn vertreten soll. Die Situation war überraschend für uns und jetzt schauen wir mal, ob wir da weiterkommen oder nicht.“
Der Poker bleibt also spannend …
