O United recebeu uma cota de 15 mil ingressos para a decisão. No entanto, a maioria será destinada aos torcedores com prioridade baseada em créditos de viagens anteriores, enquanto apenas uma pequena quantidade será sorteada entre os funcionários. O clube justificou a medida como uma forma de atender à alta demanda, evitando reduzir ainda mais a oferta para os cerca de 50 mil detentores de ingressos de temporada.
Como alternativa, o clube organizará um evento em Manchester para que os funcionários assistam à partida em um telão, com direito a duas bebidas gratuitas. Contudo, acompanhantes terão que arcar com seus próprios custos.
A política de austeridade implementada pelo coproprietário Sir Jim Ratcliffe desde sua chegada em 2023 já resultou em cortes significativos, incluindo a demissão de aproximadamente 450 funcionários e o cancelamento de eventos tradicionais, como a festa de Natal.
A decisão de não fornecer ingressos gratuitos para a final gerou descontentamento entre os funcionários, que veem a medida como mais um sinal de desvalorização por parte da nova gestão.
