O italiano inclusive já irá comandar a equipe do Brasil na próxima Data Fifa, nos duelos contra Equador e Paraguai, pelas Eliminatórias da Copa do Mundo.
“Trazer Carlo Ancelotti para comandar o Brasil é mais do que um movimento estratégico. É uma declaração ao mundo de que estamos determinados a recuperar o lugar mais alto do pódio. Ele é o maior técnico da história e, agora, está à frente da maior seleção do planeta. Juntos, escreveremos novos capítulos gloriosos do futebol brasileiro,” declarou Ednaldo Rodrigues, presidente da CBF.
