Um dos técnicos mais vitoriosos da história do futebol brasileiro, com quatro títulos do Brasileirão, Muricy Ramalho atualmente exerce uma função de dirigente no São Paulo, clube em que ele se tornou ídolo.
Em entrevista recente ao canal Goat, o ex-treinador foi perguntado sobre o atacante Neymar, atualmente no Santos. Eles trabalharam juntos entre 2011 e 2013, também no Peixe.
Então, Muricy afirmou que o craque está em outro patamar, colocando ele na prateleira de jogadores diferenciados, que não aparecem toda hora.
“O Neymar é um fora de série, esses caras surgem depois de muitos anos, o Neymar é um diferente. Está difícil a gente fazer outro, mas daqui a pouco aparece. Agora, desse nível, e eu vi de perto, é difícil. O cara é diferente de tudo, não é igual aos outros. Todo mundo está buscando esse cara, mas isso desde sempre. O novo Pelé, o novo Rivellino… agora é o novo Neymar”, disse o coordenador do SPFC.

Depois, em outro momento da entrevista, o ex-treinador do São Paulo comentou sobre o que Neymar deve fazer para retornar o protagonismo na seleção brasileira.
Por conta de lesões, o atacante não joga com a Amarelinha desde 2023, mas os torcedores ainda depositam a esperança do hexa nele.
Então, Muricy foi sincero ao dizer que o craque santista precisa de mais foco, tendo que abrir mão de algumas coisas e fazendo alguns sacrifícios. O dirigente do Tricolor ainda compara com a dedicação de Cristiano Ronaldo, que segue sendo decisivo aos 40 anos de idade.
Dificuldade neste retorno ao Santos
Neymar retornou ao Santos em 2025, após 12 anos atuando no exterior, vencendo diversos títulos importantes. Este retorno era uma tentativa de voltar a jogar com frequência, buscando recuperar a melhor forma após diversas lesões.
Porém, em cerca de três meses, o atacante jogou pouco, já tendo duas lesões. Ao todo, foram nove partidas, três gols marcados e três assistências. No Brasileirão, esteve em campo por cerca de 80 minutos, em dois jogos somados.
