Procházka si tak v posledních týdnech dopřává to, na co zpravidla nemá čas. Byl například součástí velkolepého otevíracího ceremoniálu japonské organizace Rizin, kde se v minulosti stal šampionem a kde vystoupil ve speciálním oblečení pro zápasníky sumó s obrovským bubnem před sebou. V tu chvíli na něj jen z místa konání zíralo přes 50 tisíc fanoušků. Vskutku jedinečný zážitek.
„Zúčastnit se takového ceremoniálu bylo pro mě velkou poctou, moc jsem si to užil. Ukázal jsem se na výročním turnaji jako host a rovněž jsem mohl zabubnovat na bubny společně s dalšími legendami sportu a MMA. Bylo to dopředu domluvené, nebylo to nic spontánního. Konečně jsem ale měl čas se v Japonsku podívat i trochu normálně než jenom čistě na zápasy jako vždy,“ je rád dvaatřicetiletý český bijec, dvojka žebříčku polotěžké váhy UFC.
Plaval také 30 metrů pod ledem na jeden nádech v zamrzlém švýcarském jezeře Sils. „Za mě to byl výborný výkon. Byl jsi krásně rychlý,“ měl radost český iceman a držitel několika světových rekordů David Vencl, který na bojovníka z důvodu bezpečnosti celou dobu dohlížel. „Je třeba se stále posouvat a tohle byla výzva, u které jsem to nečekal, že se tak stane,“ byl štěstím bez sebe Procházka, jenž podobné experimenty tuze rád vyhledává.
Ještě před dalším soubojem, v pořadí již osmým v zámoří, ale musí dokončit magisterské studium na Masarykově univerzitě v Brně, což pro Procházku momentálně představuje stěžejní cíl. Zkoušky se budou pravděpodobně konat v červnu a po jejich složení se už zase naplno roztočí vyjednávací kolotoč ohledně postupu v kariéře bojovníka.
„Měli jsme jednu nabídku na zápas, ale vše se odkládá kvůli škole. Jak ji dodělá, budeme v jednaní pokračovat,“ informuje Martin Karaivanov, Procházkův manažer a trenér.
Zatím tedy není příliš jasno ani o tom, kdo by mohl být dalším soupeřem. Rovněž se čeká na případné potvrzení odvety mezi Alexem Pereirou a šampionem Magomedem Ankalajevem. „Za mě tam teď probíhá komunikace mezi Pereirou a UFC. Od toho se budou odvíjet naše další kroky,“ doplnil brněnský kouč a jako ideální termín návratu vidí některý z poprázdninových měsíců.
Je přitom až s podivem, jak je situace v polotěžké váze UFC v těchto chvílích poklidná. Není tomu tak dávno, co se rozjely poměrně ostré přestřelky na sociálních sítích mezi Procházkou a zmíněným Ankalajevem. Ruský protivník nyní znovu zatlačil na Jihoameričana Pereiru. „Už jsem dostal nabídku. Pokud ale Alex nechce zápasit, přejdu jinam. Jsem připraven na každého, “ žádá na platformě X o rychlou odvetu.
A tak nezbývá nic jiného než čekat, jakým směrem se ledy hnou. Zcela vyloučeno není ani to, že by se nejlepší domácí bojovník Procházka mohl hned v příštím duelu již počtvrté v UFC poměřit v bitvě o šampionský pás.
