To máte pravdu.

Opravdu jste o tom nikdy nesnil?

A hlavně to klukům nekazit.

Hostí jej Švédsko a Dánsko, konkrétně města Stockholm a Herning.

Budete to mít hodně drahé?

To ještě nevím!

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool fans: A sensible conversation about booing

Liverpool’s game against Arsenal on Sunday should have been a party — glorious weather, no pressure and a full house at Anfield to salute the new Premier League champions.Instead, the mood was soured by a hostile reception for Trent Alexander-Arnold in his first match since he confirmed he was leaving the club at the end of the season on a free transfer.AdvertisementThere has been a vociferous debate ever since about the rights and wrongs of the reaction. In an effort to cut through the noise, we are offering edited versions of that debate — first, as it played out on our dedicated Liverpool podcast Walk On between Liverpool writers James Pearce and Simon Hughes, and host Tony Evans; and also in the comments section of James’ article on Anfield’s reaction to Alexander-Arnold, published on Monday.Tony Evans: Did you see it […]

Jason Puncheon: ‘You have one chance to be part of history at a club. This is Palace’s’

For three glorious minutes, Jason Puncheon allowed himself to dream of winning the FA Cup for his club, the team he grew up supporting and whose ground was a stone’s throw from his home. His sumptuous volley thumped beyond David de Gea and into the back of the Manchester United net had put Crystal Palace ahead 78 minutes into the 2016 final. The finishing line was within sight. Then Juan Mata’s equaliser and Jesse Lingard’s extra-time winner turned euphoria into despair, dreams into dust.AdvertisementNine years on from that day and Puncheon, now a manager in the Cypriot league, still remains synonymous with the FA Cup for Palace fans. His attention will be drawn away from preparations for life in Cypriot First Division by Wembley again and Saturday’s 2025 final, where Palace confront Manchester City. The Eagles will be trying, once again, […]

Rafaela Pimenta interview: Sexism in football, the game’s ‘hostage’ problem and doing the Haaland deal

Xabi Alonso made Bayer Leverkusen and the Bundesliga better. That’s some legacy

Before Xabi Alonso and after Xabi Alonso are distinct periods. For Bayer Leverkusen, but perhaps even for German football more broadly.Leverkusen first, because it’s simpler. The magnitude of what Alonso accomplished speaks for itself. Prior to 2024, Leverkusen had never been German champions in their 120-year history, either before the Bundesliga era started or after it began in 1963. To complete an unbeaten domestic double was not just unprecedented for the club, but also a feat unmatched by any team in German football history.AdvertisementAnd Alonso was one game away from winning a European trophy, too, which would have installed him and his players in the sport’s pantheon. Atalanta and Ademola Lookman ultimately put paid to that, but Alonso’s influence remains inarguably profound. In the first instance, because the group of players he inherited were only theoretically capable of what they accomplished.
