Die Hauptrunde der Easycredit Basketball Bundesliga ist gerade Mal zwei Tage vorbei. Für sieben von 17 Teams hat die Sommerpause begonnen. Obwohl die Play-in-Runde noch nicht mal begonnen hat, gibt’s schon die ersten Spekulationen: Welche Stars verlassen die Liga? Wer wechselt den Verein?
Der erste Transfer-Coup ist sogar schon fix!
Nationalspieler Joel Aminu (28) wechselt nach vier Jahren bei Rasta Vechta mittels einer Ausstiegsklausel zu den Telekom Baskets Bonn. Weil der Scharfschütze noch ein Jahr Vertrag hatte, lässt sich Bonn die Sache sogar 30.000 Euro Ablöse kosten!
Kein Wunder: Weil US-Colleges immer mehr Talente mit lukrativen NIL-Deals in die NCAA locken, wird der Kampf um gute deutsche Spieler immer härter. Denn laut BBL-Richtlinien müssen mindestens sechs einheimische Profis im Kader stehen.
[–>Aminu begründet seinen Abgang in der offiziellen Mitteilung so: „Ich möchte mittelfristig um einen nationalen oder auch internationalen Titel mitspielen. Diese neue Herausforderung möchte ich jetzt angehen. Zudem liegt Bonn noch einmal näher bei meiner Familie und Freunden und meine Freundin kann mit mir nach Bonn gehen.“ Aminu stammt vom Niederrhein und begann in Kamp-Lintfort mit Basketball.
Für Bonn könnte der Transfer gleichzeitig bedeuten, dass Sam Griesel (25) den Klub verlässt. Der Deutsch-Amerikaner ist einer der wenigen Bonner, der sich in einer ansonsten schwachen Saison persönlich verbesserte. SPORT BILD hat neun weitere heiße Gerüchte zusammengefasst und sagt, wie hoch die Wahrscheinlichkeit ist, dass sie zutreffen.
JHIVVAN JACKSON (26): Der frisch gekürte MVP der Liga von den Fit/One Würzburg Baskets hat sich mit seiner überzeugenden Saison in BBL und Champions League für höhere Aufgaben empfohlen. Laut „Main-Post“ und „Reutlinger Generalanzeiger“ hätte ihn der französische Euroleague-Klub Asvel Villeurbanne gerne als Nachfolger für Théo Maledon (23), der wiederum Asvel nicht zu halten ist. Zudem soll der spanische Top-Klub Valencia Interesse haben. Wahrscheinlichkeit: 90 Prozent!
ZAC SELJAAS (27): Dass der Kult-Profi mit Vokuhila-Frisur vergangene Saison noch mal bei den Fit/One Würzburg Baskets verlängerte, war schon ein Glücksfall. Diesen Sommer wird der unumstrittene Führungsspieler den Klub verlassen. Wie bei Mannschafts-Kollege Jackson soll Asvel Villeurbanne ein mögliches Ziel sein. Aber auch Königsklassen-Klub Virtus Bologna und Alba Berlin liebäugeln mit einer Verpflichtung. Für Berlin spräche: Dort spielt auch kommende Saison Justin Bean (28) – beide gehören zur Glaubensgemeinschaft der Mormonen und sind zudem gut befreundet. Wahrscheinlichkeit: 80 Prozent!

YANNI WETZELL (28): Der Vertrag des gebürtigen Neuseeländers bei Alba Berlin läuft nach drei Spielzeiten aus. Auch durch den Ausstieg von Alba aus der Euroleague sieht der Center seine Zukunft offenbar anderswo. Laut dem italienischen Basketball-Journalisten Matteo Andreani wird Wetzell auch künftig in der Königsklasse spielen: Sein Berater ist demnach in fortgeschrittenen Gesprächen mit Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz in Spanien. Wahrscheinlichkeit: 70 Prozent!
MATTEO SPAGNOLO (22): Das Aufbau-Talent schaffte auch diese Saison bei Alba Berlin nicht den Durchbruch. Und auch er wird den Hauptstadt-Klub mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit verlassen. Laut dem italienischen Portal „Superbasket.eu“ steht er vor einer Rückkehr nach Spanien und wird ebenfalls mit Baskonia in Verbindung gebracht. Spagnolo stammt aus Brindisi, ging aber schon mit 15 Jahren in die Nachwuchs-Akademie von Real Madrid. Wahrscheinlichkeit: 80 Prozent!
NORIS AGBAKOKO (25): Der 2,18 Meter große Center ist ein Eigengewächs der EWE Baskets Oldenburg. Nach neun Jahren verlässt er nun seinen Ausbildungs-Verein und wird mit Alba Berlin in Verbindung gebracht – als Ersatz für Yanni Wetzell? Alba-Trainer Pedro Calles (41) kennt Agbakoko genau und schätzt seine Qualitätem. Calles wurde im November in Oldenburg gefeuert und heuerte im Anschluss in Berlin an. Wahrscheinlichkeit: 99 Prozent!

ALEN PJANIC (28): Auch der Flügelspieler wird aller Voraussicht nach die Oldenburger verlassen (Vertrag läuft aus). Nach Informationen von Transfer-Insider Ruper Fabig („Hamburger Abendblatt“) sind sein Ziel die Fit/One Würzburg Baskets. Der in Gießen geborene Sohn bosnischer Eltern könnte dort als Rollenspieler den Abgang von Kapitän Seljaas (s.o.) abfedern. Wahrscheinlichkeit: 85 Prozent!
BRANDON RANDOLPH (27): Jahr für Jahr nutzen nordamerikanische Profis aus der zweiten Reihe Rasta Vechta als Sprungbrett nach Europa. Vor einem Jahr ging der beste Mann Tommy Kuhse (27) nach einer überragenden Saison zu Derthona Basket nach Italien. Dieses Jahr wird BBL-Topscorer Randolph nicht in der niedersächsischen Provinz zu halten sein. Genau wie bei Kuhse ist sein Ziel offenbar Italien. „La Republica Bologna“ berichtet von gesteigertem Interesse von Euroleague-Klub Virtus Bologna. Wahrscheinlichkeit: 95 Prozent!
LEON KRATZER (28): Nach dem Gewinn der Champions League mit den Telekom Baskets Bonn 2023 folgte der Center Erfolgstrainer Tuomas Iisalo (42/jetzt Memphis Grizzlies) nach Paris. Dort gewann der Nationalspieler (15 Länderspiele) den EuroCup und spielte diese Saison sogar erstmals in der Euroleague. Der Vertrag des gebürtigen Bayreuthers in Paris läuft nun aus. Dass der aufstrebende Klub mit ihm verlängert, ist angesichts geschrumpfter Einsatzzeiten fraglich. Immer wieder gibt’s Gerüchte über eine Rückkehr in die BBL. Wahrscheinlichkeit: 50 Prozent!
TILL PAPE (27): Der Basketball spielende Doktor war 2023 Trainer Roel Moors (46) aus Göttingen zu den Telekom Baskets Bonn gefolgt. Doch der Erfolg blieb aus. Moors wurde im Januar gefeuert. Jetzt läuft Papes Vertrag aus und er sichtet den Markt. Laut Insider Fabig haben Würzburg und sein Ex-Klub Ratiopharm Ulm angeklopft. Wahrscheinlichkeit: 75 Prozent!
