In wenigen Wochen wird Thomas Müller den FC Bayern München verlassen – als Vereins-Legende.
Die spannende Frage: Was macht Müller dann? Wird der Weltmeister von 2014 ins Ausland wechseln oder sogar seine erfolgreiche Karriere beenden?
Jetzt spricht Müller über seine Zukunft!
Die Bayern-Ikone bei Sky: „Ich weiß es noch nicht. Es gibt aktuell noch nichts Konkretes, aber ich habe natürlich Ideen. Wir halten es spannend. Ich glaube, die nächsten Wochen werden es zeigen. Wir haben noch den Club World Cup vor der Brust, das wird eine spannende Erfahrung.“
[–>Dann wird der Stürmer konkreter, spricht über eine mögliche Zukunft als Spieler in der MLS: „Klar, höre ich mich auch in den USA um. Ich habe noch keine komplette Strategie. Ich war nie der Typ, der gesagt hat: Das ist jetzt meine einzige Idee und das machen wir. Ich bin bewusst sehr openminded.“
Ein Klub, der den zweimaligen Champions-League-Sieger gern holen würde, ist US-Klub Los Angeles FC. Das Team aus Kalifornien ist ein Partnerklub der Bayern.
Der Schritt über den Teich wird Müller dafür schon schmackhaft gemacht!
Im Podcast „Bayern Insider“ enthüllen BILD-Fußballchef Christian Falk und Chefreporter Tobias Altschäffl, wie Los Angeles den Bayern-Star lockt.

Altschäffl: „Thomas Müller wird schon mal angeboten, er könnte ein Haus in Beverly Hills bekommen, 30 Minuten zum Trainingsplatz, das Stadion ist Downtown, also diese Option, ich glaube, für Thomas ist es schwer, sich ein Leben außerhalb von Bayern vorzustellen, man muss es ihm vielleicht genau erklären, was L.A. Bedeutet.“
Ein weiterer möglicher Faktor: Basketball-Legende Magic Johnson (65). Die Lakers-Ikone ist seit 2014 Miteigentümer von LAFC.
Falk: „Magic Johnson ist ein Miteigentümer. Thomas Müller ist ein riesiger Basketball-Fan, hat auch eine Loge bei den Bayern-Basketballern und ich glaube, das könnte auch noch ein Mittel sein, um den dort hinzulocken.“
Ebenfalls entscheidend: Campuschef Jochen Sauer (52). Er ist Geschäftsführer von „Red&Gold“, einem gemeinsamen Projekt von Bayern und LA zur Talenteförderung, und soll Müller von einem Wechsel überzeugen. Dafür hat er ihm schon eine Präsentation gezeigt.
Altschäffl: „Ja, es gibt viele Möglichkeiten, viele Anreize. Die Sportnationen, die USA, die legen immer mehr Wert auf Fußball. Wir haben darüber gesprochen, die MLS will unbedingt gemeinsam Thomas Müller bekommen. Der soll das Vorzeigeobjekt für die Liga werden.“
Dem US-Klub Cincinnati, der sich in der MLS ein Vorkaufsrecht auf Müller gesichert hatte, sagte Müller nach BILD-Informationen bereits ab. Auch San Diego und Chicago Fire (Ex-Klub von Bastian Schweinsteiger und Xherdan Shaqiri) sollen Interesse bekundet haben. Italien-Klub Florenz bekam auch eine Absage von Müller.
Gut möglich also, dass es am Ende Los Angeles wird, weil Müller noch richtig Lust auf Fußball hat!
