The second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs is well underway. On Wednesday, the action starts with the Toronto Maple Leafs hosting the Florida Panthers in a game that will break a series tie. The Panthers are the favorites in Game 5 and to win the series (-200), but the odds are tight. In the second game, the Edmonton Oilers (up 3-1) are on the road against the Vegas Golden Knights. The Oilers are at -1000 to win the series and entered Tuesday as the favorites to take home the Cup at +300.

The Maple Leafs and Panthers head north with their series tied 2-2. The Panthers are coming off a convincing 2-0 win. Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett scored and Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll made 35 saves.
Woll has held his own while Anthony Stolarz continues to recover from a suspected head injury sustained in Game 1. A positive sign: He skated Tuesday morning ahead of the Leafs’ practice.
Toronto will need to bring its best against a Florida team that completely dominated a very physical Game 4. Does that mean breaking up Auston Matthews (zero goals in this series) and Mitch Marner?

The Oilers take a 3-1 series lead back to Sin City and are just one victory away from their third Western Conference final appearance in four seasons. Evander Kane led the Oilers to a 3-0 Game 4 win on Monday in which goaltender Stuart Skinner stopped a perfect 23 saves for his first-ever postseason shutout. Kane is, of course, no stranger to playing the Golden Knights, having faced them in four different series.
Vegas, now in desperation mode, will have to resolve its disappearing offense and win the battle of urgency against Edmonton — something Jack Eichel said his team lacked on Monday.
