Steph Curry has been cleared to participate in light on-court workouts, including shooting drills, one week after the Golden State Warriors star suffered a strained hamstring in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Curry will be re-evaluated Saturday, the Warriors said in a statement, which would come one day before the team’s potential Game 6 on Sunday. In order to get there, Golden State must win Game 5 in Minnesota on Wednesday night.

The Warriors have lost all three games without Curry in the lineup and now face a 3-1 series hole. The 37-year-old Curry had scored 13 points in 13 minutes before exiting in the second quarter of Game 1, which Golden State held on to win 99-88.
Jimmy Butler emerged as the team’s offense leader in Curry’s absence, scoring 33 points — his most since being acquired midseason — in the Game 2 loss, but he was held to 14 points in Game 4, attempting just nine shots in the Warriors’ 17-point loss.
