Denílson, antes do Corinthians encarar o Racing-URU, trouxe um alerta ao Timão. Lidando com uma campanha irregular, a equipe alvinegra, fora de casa, precisa somar três pontos para seguir vivo na Sul-Americana. Porém, houve uma hipótese levantada por Fred Bruno sobre a possibilidade do clube paulista deixar o torneio continental de lado para focar no Brasileirão e Copa do Brasil.
“Tá bem complicado e, para falar a verdade, jogando a vida! Precisa vencer ou vencer para continuar sonhando com a classificação.”, disse Denílson, no Globo Esporte.
“Caso queira…”, lembrou Fred Bruno.
“Tem essa também.”, completou o ex-jogador.
Obrigação do Corinthians
Apesar da ressalva, Denílson lembrou que o Corinthians tem obrigação de seguir rumo ao mata-mata da Sul-Americana. Diante da grandeza do Timão, a escolha em forçar uma eliminação causaria um vexame que não faz jus ao tamanho do clube.
“O Corinthians é gigante! Tem que entrar sempre para ganhar. Para mim, vai ser um vexame se o Corinthians não conseguir a classificação na Sul-Americana.”, afirmou.
Anteriormente, Denílson demonstrou incredulidade ao abordar o atual cenário financeiro do Corinthians. Fechando 2024 com déficit de R$ 181,7 milhões e dívida de R$ 2,5 bilhões, a equipe alvinegra também está no centro de uma investigação envolvendo o valor de R$ 1 milhão, do antigo contrato de patrocínio, que chegou na conta de uma empresa ligada ao PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital).
“A saúde financeira do Corinthians não é boa de longa data. É um absurdo. Assustador.”, externou Denílson, no Fechamento SporTV.
