Diego Souza vê uma situação revoltante na rivalidade entre Flamengo e Botafogo. Antes do clássico pelo Brasileirão, o ex-atacante destacou que, em 2025, o Rubro-Negro assumiu status de “pai” do Glorioso, opinião rebatida por Fellipe Bastos. Além do triunfo na Supercopa Rei, a equipe de Filipe Luís venceu o time alvinegro por 1 a 0 em duelo no Carioca, algo relevante para o discurso.
“O Botafogo virou ‘filho’ do Flamengo. Para eu falar isso é porque eu tô com raiva!”, disse Diego Souza, em vídeo da Central do Pré-Jogo, no YouTube.
“Filho não virou. No ano passado, o Botafogo ganhou.”, rebateu Fellipe Bastos.
“Neste ano é só chibatada!”, acrescentou o ex-jogador que atuou pelos dois clubes.

Apesar do retrospecto em 2025, Diego Souza não quis apostar no Flamengo. Diante da confiança de que o Botafogo será capaz de conter o ímpeto do clube rival, houve uma indicação de empate no Maracanã.
“Dito isso, eu acho que é empate (risos).”, afirmou Diego Souza.
“É jogo bom e jogo para ser competitivo. Empate.”, opinou Fellipe Bastos.
Alerta envolvendo risco na Libertadores
Por enquanto, o Flamengo se encontra focado na “final” contra a LDU, em casa, na Libertadores. Ressaltando o risco de eliminação precoce do Rubro-Negro, Diego Souza também quis enfatizar o primeiro momento de crise atrelada ao trabalho de Filipe Luís.
“O Flamengo tá perigando jogar a Sul-Americana. Tem que ganhar esse jogo e o outro. Se a LDU empatar aqui, o Flamengo periga não classificar. A LDU está cheia de surpresas. O futebol muda a cada momento. O treinador do Flamengo é para ser da seleção brasileira, hoje está em xeque.”, externou.
