Depois de tropeços na 4ª rodada, a Copa Sul-Americana teve uma semana de bons resultados para quase todos os times do Brasil. O Fluminense superou o Unión Española e segue na luta pela liderança do Grupo F.
O Atlético-MG conseguiu uma boa vitória frente o Caracas e terá um confronto direto contra o Cienciano na última rodada pela primeira colocação do Grupo H.
O Grêmio acabou tropeçando, ficando no empate contra o Godoy Cruz, mas segue com chances de assumir a liderança do Grupo D.
Corinthians e Vitória, que superaram fora de casa o Racing-URU e Cerro Largo vão para a última rodada buscando vaga na fase de playoffs.
O Cruzeiro conseguiu sua primeira vitória nesta edição ao superar o Palestino em casa, resultado que inclusive tirou a Raposa da lanterna do seu grupo.
Já o Vasco foi o único brasileiro a ser derrotado nessa Copa Sul-Americana, mas ainda segue com chance de avançar para os playoffs do torneio.

Cenário para a próxima rodada
Dos sete brasileiros que disputam a competição, apenas Atlético-MG, Fluminense e Grêmio podem terminar a fase de grupos na liderança e avançar direto para as oitavas de final. Corinthians, Vasco e Vitória irão em busca do segundo lugar que vale vaga nos playoffs.
Já o Cruzeiro, que foi eliminado com duas rodadas de antecedência, somente irá cumprir tabela na próxima rodada.

Atlético-MG
O Galo receberá o Cienciano na última rodada e uma vitória simples garante a liderança do Grupo H. Por outro lado, mesmo que tropece em casa, o time mineiro tem chances remotas de ser eliminado. Isso porque o Caracas, 3ª colocado, teria que golear o Deportivo Iquique para tirar a diferença do saldo de gols para o Atlético-MG.
Dessa forma, se não termina na liderança, o clube alvinegro irá pelo menos para os playoffs da competição.
Corinthians
O Timão assumiu a segunda colocação do Grupo C e agora só depende de si para garantir a segunda colocação. Para isso será necessário vencer o Huracán fora de casa. Existe uma chance matemática da primeira colocação, mas para isso o time paulista teria que aplicar uma goleada por quatro ou mais gols para tirar a diferença de saldo entre as equipes.
Por outro lado, em caso de tropeço na Argentina, o Corinthians terá que secar o América de Cali que encara o Racing-URU, que perdeu os cinco jogos que disputou na Copa Sul-Americana.
Cruzeiro
A Raposa conseguiu sua primeira vitória na fase de grupos e deixou a lanterna do Grupo E.
Fluminense
O Flu só depende de si para avançar na primeira colocação, já que terá como adversário na próxima rodada o Once Caldas, segundo no Grupo F. Dessa forma, um empate já garante a classificação do Tricolor. Por outro lado, uma derrota deixa o Fluminense na segunda posição, disputando a fase de playoffs
Grêmio
Com o empate em casa o Imortal depende de uma combinação de resultados para garantir a primeira colocação do Grupo D. A equipe gaúcha terá que vencer o Atlético Grau e torcer para que o Godoy Cruz não consiga os três pontos contra o Sportivo Luqueño.
Porém caso isso não aconteça, o Grêmio irá disputar a fase de playoffs, já que não pode ser ultrapassado pelos dois outros times do seu grupo.
Vasco
O Gigante da Colina terá uma decisão contra o Melgar, segundo do grupo. Sem chances de terminar na primeira posição, a equipe carioca precisará vencer o time peruano para garantir a segunda colocação do Grupo G e disputar os playoffs da Copa Sul-Americana.
Vitória
O Leão é outro brasileiro que depende apenas de si para disputar os playoffs da competição. O time baiano abriu dois pontos de vantagem para Defensa y Justicia e Cerro Largo. Dessa forma um triunfo contra o Universidad Católica garante o time na segunda posição do Grupo B.
Porém um empate ou até mesmo pode garantir o segundo lugar, mas dependendo do outro jogo entre Defensa e Cerro.
