Cicinho não parece muito otimista com o Flamengo nesta edição da Libertadores. Antes da partida contra a LDU, no Maracanã, o ex-lateral até acreditava em um tropeço do time comandado por Filipe Luís.
Segundo o ídolo do São Paulo, o Rubro-Negro costuma derrapar em momentos decisivos da competição sul-americana. Em campo, porém, os cariocas confirmaram o favoritismo ao vencer os equatorianos por 2 a 0, com gols de Léo Ortiz e Arrascaeta.
“O Flamengo, nestes momentos, ele dá uma patinada. Eu estou com um pezinho atrás”, relatou Cicinho.
De fato, havia um temor entre os torcedores, sobretudo com a vitória do Central Córdoba sobre o Deportivo Táchira. Com 11 pontos, a equipe argentina lidera o Grupo C. O Flamengo depende só de si na última rodada para conseguir a classificação para as oitavas de final.
“Os jogadores de frente não deixaram a LDU jogar em nenhum momento. Eles não passaram do meio-campo no primeiro tempo. É um time que, se você estudar, eles jogam, como fizeram no segundo tempo”, analisou o treinador.

Apesar de Flamengo, Palmeiras e Internacional serem os principais favoritos entre as equipes brasileiras, o ídolo são-paulino entende que o clube do Morumbi pode surpreender seus grandes rivais.
“Ainda acho que o São Paulo vai ser campeão da Libertadores, mas sem o Zubeldía”, opinou Cicinho.
No Grupo D, o SPFC lidera com 11 pontos, seguido pelo Libertad com 8, e Talleres, com 4. O lanterna da chave é o Alianza Lima, com 4.
