Er hat mit Brasilien noch kein Spiel bestritten, doch schon jetzt sprechen spanische Medien von einer Rückkehr von Carlo Ancelotti (65) zu Real Madrid.
Seit dieser Woche ist die Zukunft des Italieners klar. Er wird erster ausländischer Nationaltrainer von Brasilien. Eine riesige Ehre für Ancelotti. Das Ziel: der 6. WM-Titel. Allerdings darf man abwarten, ob die Philosophie des Italieners mit der brasilianischen Fußball-Identität zusammenpasst.
Die „Marca“ berichtet in jedem Fall schon, dass Ancelotti den „Königlichen“ sogar ein Versprechen gegeben habe, nach dem Ende seiner Tätigkeit in Brasilien nach Madrid zurückzukehren – wann immer dies sein wird.
Geheimer Ancelotti-Plan – Comeback in Madrid?

Dennoch: der Schatten des in Madrid sehr beliebten Ancelotti wird seinem designierten Nachfolger Xabi Alonso (43) – eine Bestätigung von Real steht noch aus – verfolgen. Spätestens nach Saisonende wird damit gerechnet, dass Alonso offiziell als Nachfolger Ancelottis präsentiert wird.
Bis zu seiner Rückkehr nach Madrid will Ancelotti jedoch Brasilien wieder zu einem Titelkandidaten für die Weltmeisterschaft 2026 in den USA, Kanada und Mexiko formen.
Die „Selecao“ hat sich im März von Dorival Junior getrennt, nachdem man in der WM-Qualifikation von Erzrivale Argentinien mit 1:4 gedemütigt wurde. Der letzte WM-Titel datiert aus dem Jahr 2002. Damals wurde Deutschland im Finale mit 2:0 besiegt.
Positiv: Ancelotti kennt aus Madrid bereits Brasiliens Sturm-Diva Vinicius Junior, einen der Hoffnungsträger für das WM-Turnier.
Im Juni geht es für Brasilien in der WM-Qualifikation nach Ecuador und dann gegen Paraguay. Bei noch vier verbleibenden Spielen hat Brasilien sechs Punkte Vorsprung auf einen Relegationsplatz.
Dabei Ancelotti eigentlich mit Brasilien noch eine Rechnung offen. Zu Beginn seiner Karriere war er nämlich Co-Trainer der italienischen Mannschaft, die das WM-Finale 1994 gegen Brasilien im Elfmeterschießen verlor.
