Filipe Luís concedeu entrevista aos canais de mídia após a vitória do Flamengo por 2 a 0 sobre a LDU, em jogo válido pela fase de grupos da Libertadores. No estádio Maracanã, o treinador destacou o perfil de Michael. O atacante foi um dos titulares da equipe rubro-negra.
“É um jogador que dá tudo que tem para a equipe. Sempre escutei os torcedores falarem: ‘Queremos raça, queremos gente que corre. Quando não der na bola, vai na vontade’. E ele tem tudo isso. Começou o jogo muito bem”, iniciou.
“Nas primeiras decisões, a gente sabe o que a torcida está esperando. Aí começou a pegar no pé. Ele foi ficando mais nervoso”, acrescentou Filipe Luís, antes de analisar que Michael teve um bom desempenho.
“Não temos que esquecer o que o lateral da LDU sofreu com ele, tanto que foi substituído. O Michael machucou muito aquele lado”, declarou.
Filipe Luís também disse que o jogador do Flamengo se dedica nos treinamentos. “Faltou o último passe, a tomada de decisão? Sim. Ele sabe, treina, é o cara que mais fica fazendo complemento todos os dias”, relatou.
“A hora que a bola entrar e ele conseguir se soltar um pouco mais. Em 2021, ele quase foi artilheiro do Brasileirão. Eu tenho de tentar ajudar ele a recuperar isso. É um jogador que deixa tudo que tem pelo Flamengo”, reforçou.

O Mengão agora tem um clássico pela frente. Vai encarar o Botafogo, no domingo (18), a partir das 18h30 (horário de Brasília), no estádio Maracanã. O confronto é válido pela rodada 9 do Brasileirão Série A.
“Vai ser um grande jogo, duríssimo, difícil. Eles têm um dia a mais de descanso. Não serve como desculpa. Temos que ligar o maquinário da recuperação o mais rápido possível”, concluiu Filipe Luís.
