Max Verstappen vive um contexto esportivo mais difícil, na edição 2025 da Fórmula 1 (F1). O competidor venceu apenas uma das seis provas que disputou. Todas as demais foram ganhas pela McLaren, sendo quatro vitórias do atual líder, Oscar Piastri, e a outra do vice-líder, Lando Norris.
De acordo com o holandês, o atual domínio da escuderia chefiada por Zak Brown é maior, em relação aos anos em que foi tetracampeão mundial.
“Nunca fizemos uma diferença tão grande. Em Miami, o ritmo de corrida foi ruim para todos, exceto para a McLaren. Ninguém chegou perto do ritmo deles. Isso é preocupante”, declarou.
Verstappen tem 99 pontos e é o terceiro colocado, no torneio entre pilotos. “Quando o desgaste dos pneus aumenta por causa do calor, eles ficam mais fortes. A diferença é grande a cada semana”, acrescentou.
Elogiada por Verstappen, McLaren faz dobradinha
O Grande Prêmio de Emília-Romagna começou na manhã brasileira desta sexta-feira (16). A McLaren fez dobradinha.
Oscar Piastri completou 23 voltas e foi o mais rápido da primeira sessão de treino livre. O melhor tempo do australiano foi 1:16.545.
Lando Norris foi 0.032 milésimos de segundo mais lento que o companheiro de equipe. Carlos Sainz foi o terceiro colocado.
Max Verstappen se inscreveu sob o pseudônimo “Franz Hermann” e ficou na 7ª posição. Segundo o piloto da Red Bull, o disfarce ocorreu porque o holandês participou de testes, em Nürburgring, por uma equipe da categoria GT World Challenge.
“Me pediram um nome falso. Então eu disse: ‘Vamos deixá-lo o mais alemão possível’. Dessa forma, eu não apareceria na lista de inscritos. Senão, as pessoas teriam aparecido no autódromo sabendo que eu estava lá”, explicou.

Na visão do brasileiro, Verstappen é uma das lendas da categoria. “Se tornou. O que ele fez até agora é incrível”, resumiu Barrichello, em entrevista ao Pokerstrategy.
