Luis Enrique hat klare Worte zum neuen Job von Carlo Ancelotti (65) gefunden. Enrique, früherer Barça-Trainer und jetziger Coach von Paris Saint-Germain, wünscht dem Italiener – obwohl er ihn sehr schätze – in seiner zukünftigen Rolle als Brasiliens Nationaltrainer KEINEN Erfolg!
Bei einer Pressekonferenz sagte Enrique: „Ich glaube nicht, dass es einen Trainer mit so vielen Titeln und Triumphen wie Ancelotti gibt. Er ist ein Gentleman – auf und neben dem Platz.“ Doch dann fügte der Spanier hinzu: „Ich wünsche Brasilien allerdings keinen Erfolg, weil ja klar ist, dass ich Spanien die Daumen drücke und Erfolg wünsche.“
Trotzdem lobte Enrique die Entscheidung, Ancelotti als Seleção-Coach zu verpflichten: „Es ist großartig, einen so erfolgreichen italienischen Trainer bei einer legendären Mannschaft wie Brasilien zu sehen. Ich bin sicher, dass die Kombination passt.“

Carlo Ancelotti wird sich von diesen Kommentaren sicher nicht beirren lassen. Gemeinsam mit Sohn Davide bereitet er sich auf seine erste WM mit Brasilien vor, um den fünffachen Weltmeister zurück an die Spitze zu führen. Dort stand Brasilien seit 2002 nicht mehr.
Mit Ancelotti soll sich das bei der WM 2026 in den USA ändern, wo Brasilien jetzt schon als einer der großen Favoriten gehandelt wird.
