Toni Bou extiende su dominio con doble victoria en Japón

Toni Bou continúa con su impresionante estado de forma en el comienzo del Mundial de TrialGP. El español demostró ser el líder absoluto de la competición en el primer día de la jornada en Japón, celebrada en el emblemático circuito Mobility Resort Motegi, el cual se vio afectado por una intensa lluvia, lo que provocó barro acumulado y un terreno extremadamente resbaladizo. 

Primera carrera y primera victoria

Sin embargo, el laureado piloto del Repsol Honda Team ofreció una gran actuación en el primer día de acción del fin de semana. Bou lideró la primera carrera del día desde el primer tramo y supo manejar la situación para acabar imponiéndose a sus rivales. Con 20 puntos de ventaja sobre su rival más cercano, Jaime Busto, se hizo con la victoria.

La segunda carrera en Motegi estuvo un poco más pareja para el 37 veces campeón del mundo. Gabriel Marcelli salió con fuerza y lideró gran parte de la carrera, presionando a Bou hasta los tramos finales. No obstante, el español supo imponerse en los momentos decisivos sobre su compañero de equipo, adjudicándose su segunda victoria del día.

Vencedor del día y más líder que nunca

Tras haberse sentado en lo más alto del podio en las cuatro carreras de la pasada jornada en Portugal, el pierense es más líder que nunca del TrialGP con 200 puntos, por delante de Jaime Busto y su compañero Marcelli (144 puntos).

Bou no ocultó su alegría tras un ‘perfecto‘ primer día en Japón. “Estoy muy contento con el día de hoy y con el trabajo del equipo. El primer día en Motegi siempre hay mucha presión y nervios porque estamos en la ‘casa’ de Honda, así que conseguir una doble victoria hoy es increíble. Sabemos que mañana será un día muy difícil, así que los puntos de hoy son muy importantes para el campeonato. Mañana tendremos que ser inteligentes y no cometer errores. Será importante conseguir tantos puntos como sea posible y volver a luchar por la victoria“.
