Escalação do Atlético
O provável time titular do Atlético para encarar o Cruzeiro é a seguinte: Everson; Natanael, Lyanco, Junior Alonso e Rubens (Caio Paulista); Alan Franco, Fausto Vera, Gustavo Scarpa e Bernard; Rony e Hulk.
“Nós já passamos por muitas provações esse ano e domingo é mais uma. É jogo duro, é clássico, mando do adversário, na casa deles, torcida única e a gente tem que saber entender o jogo. Mas, dentro da nossa grandeza, nós vamos com força também”, declarou o técnico atleticano.

PGA Championship: Scottie Scheffler overcomes scare to claim third career major
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Scottie Scheffler has spent the last year and a half further establishing himself as the best player in the world. Jon Rahm has spent the last year and a half trying to remind the world that he still exists. On Sunday at the PGA Championship, the two crossed paths — atop the leaderboard, and at a pair of back-nine greens — and Scheffler came out on top in impressive fashion, winning by five strokes over Bryson DeChambeau, Davis Riley and Harris English.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFor Scheffler, it’s his third career major and first outside Augusta. Scottie Scheffler’s PGA Championship win is a reminder to the world of his greatness
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Because of who Scottie Scheffler is, and how often he wins, and how little he seems to feel other forces of nature, there are few other protagonists you want to see face predicament in the eye more than him.And there he was Sunday, looking at a scoreboard across the 10th green, unblinking.AdvertisementWhat everyone deemed impossible was possible. After beginning Sunday with a three-shot lead in the final round of this PGA Championship, Scheffler stared at his name alongside Jon Rahm’s on the leaderboard. Both at 9-under-par. Both tied for the lead. There are times when every game tests the greats and this was it for Scheffler. A wayward driver led to a 2-over front-nine 37 and the world’s best player looked, at best, off balance, and worst, unnerved. How would he respond?By lifting the Wanamaker Trophy and winning […]

Nuggets offseason outlook: Denver needs to act now to stop wasting Nikola Jokić’s prime
NBA observers reacted harshly to the Nuggets' decision to let go of head coach Mike Malone with three games remaining in the season, primarily because such a path had never really been taken before.Sure, coaches have been fired late in seasons, but that's primarily been from teams that were going nowhere or in need of a fresh start.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBut these are the Nuggets. The team with the best player in the universe that won the title less than two years ago. How could such a decision make sense?Well, the Nuggets not only won a Game 7 against a very deep and potent Clippers team, they also took the 68-win Oklahoma City Thunder to seven games in the second round, proving once and for all that we're all winging it in every walk of life, and perhaps a coaching change 79 games […]

Twins takeaways: Brewers end team’s win streak at 13, but Royce Lewis is heating up
MILWAUKEE — The streak may be over, but Royce Lewis appears to be locked in at the plate, or very close to it.Had it not been for the heroics of Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Jackson Chourio in the eighth inning on Sunday afternoon, the Twins might still be playing.Chourio robbed Lewis of his second home run of the day, a drive that would have been a tying homer, and the Brewers rode it to a 5-2 win over the Twins, who saw their major-league-best 13-game winning streak come to an end.AdvertisementLewis earlier blasted a solo homer, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a poor start by Zebby Matthews, who allowed four earned runs in three innings, including one in the second inning that ended a Twins-record 34-inning scoreless streak.“It’s a phenomenal play,” Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said of Chourio’s catch.
