O domingo foi um grande dia para a ginástica artística brasileira. A atleta Julia Coutinho levou medalha de ouro no feminino do solo na etapa de Koper, na Eslovênia, da série challenge da Copa do Mundo 2025. Ao som de uma versão instrumental de “Maria, Maria”, de Milton Nascimento e Fernando Brant, Julia alcançou a nota 13.100, conquistando o primeiro lugar.
Na hora do hino, Julia, de apenas 15 anos, não conteve a emoção e chorou. A atleta é considerada um “legado” dos Jogos Olímpicos do Rio, de 2016, e começa a obter destaque agora, quase nove anos depois. Segundo uma matéria do Comitê Olímpico Brasileiro (COB), foi na competição no Rio que, ao acompanhar a ginástica artística feminina, Julia decidiu seguir o esporte.
Hoje, ela é considerada uma das maiores revelações do país. No Troféu Brasil, competição realizada em maio, em Brasília, despontava como uma das favoritas e levou o bronze no feminino do solo. O torneio não teve a participação das atletas que estiveram na Olimpíada de Paris, como Rebeca Andrade.
Nascida em 2009 na da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, Julia contou, em entrevista ao portal Olimpíada Todo Dia, que uma das atletas que a inspiraram a seguir a ginástica artística durante os jogos de 2015 foi Flávia Saraiva, a Flavinha, que levou bronze nos jogos de Paris, no ano passado, e agora é colega de Julia no Flamengo:
— Eu vi a Olimpíada de 2016 e fiquei encantada. Eu pedi para minha mãe para fazer ginástica lá no Recreio, onde eu moro. Depois ali acabou e minha mãe procurou o Flamengo e me encontrei lá — contou.
A jovem atleta fez sua estreia internacional na categoria adulta nesta temporada no Troféu Cidade de Jesolo 2025, na Itália, quando foi a única brasileira a pegar final de aparelhos e teve a quinta posição no solo. Mesmo sem medalha, chamou a atenção pelo desempenho.
Agora, Julia impressionou mais uma vez no Challenge Cup em Koper, na Eslovênia. O evento faz parte do circuito da Copa do Mundo da modalidade nesta temporada e foi o primeiro evento do tipo para a jovem.
Outros atletas brasileiros se destacam
Na competição, não foi apenas Julia que brilhou. Lucas Bittencourt também conquistou o ouro na barra fixa. Além disso, Gabriela Barbosa foi prata no feminino do solo, e Patrick Sampaio na barra fixa. Na trave, Gabriela Bouças conquistou o bronze.
