Odpovědět mohl Regenda. Slováci vyrovnali v 9. minutě sekundu před koncem přesilové hry při Tralmaksově vyloučení, kdy proměnil Takáčovu přihrávku Čederle. Hlavaj potom zlikvidoval Ravinskisovu šanci. Při dalším Tralmaksově trestu pálil Sukeľ, který ale potom faulem početní výhodu zkrátil.
MS v hokeji 2025
88. ročník mistrovství světa v hokeji je na programu v termínu od 9. do 25. května 2025. Hostí jej Švédsko a Dánsko, konkrétně města Stockholm a Herning.
Po 91 sekundách druhé části vystihl Sukeľovu přihrávku za brankou Tralmaks, našel volného Ločmelise, který bekhendovým blafákem zasunul puk za Hlavaje. Ve 26. minutě se po vhazování v levém kruhu dostal sám před slovenského gólmana Rihards Burkarts a zvýšil na 3:1. A čase 34:29 už to bylo o tři góly. Po kombinaci Egleho a Lavinše se trefil z levého kruhu Andersons.
Ve 45. minutě mohl snížit střelou z pozice mezi kruhy Regenda, ale Gudlevskis vytěsnil jeho pokus lapačkou na levou tyč. Hlavaj zlikvidoval Abolsovu šanci, pak se Slováci ubránili při Golianově trestu. Už necelý pět minut před koncem sáhl slovenský tým k power play a střelou do prázdné branky zpečetil výsledek Abols.
