Tostão subiu o tom contra o plantel de três times de expressão do futebol brasileiro. Em texto publicado na coluna da Folha de S. Paulo neste sábado (17), ele foi contundente ao apontar que Santos, Grêmio e Vasco sofrem neste início do Brasileirão por terem elencos limitados.
No entendimento dele, há um equívoco em comum do trio em pensar que o principal problema esteja com os treinadores, e não com o material humano disponível nas equipes.
“Existe um enorme exagero em muitas e rápidas avaliações de treinadores e jogadores. É o mundo imediatista em que vivemos. Por causa da mesma pressa, treinadores são dispensados, como se fossem os únicos culpados pelas derrotas”, iniciou Tostão, citando o trio na sequência.
“Santos, Grêmio e Vasco, três gigantes do futebol brasileiro, já trocaram vários treinadores sem resultados, pois os elencos são fracos”, complementou o ex-jogador.
Risco no Z4
Citados por Tostão, Vasco, Grêmio e Santos estão no flerte com o rebaixamento neste início de Série A. Com os resultados iniciais da 9ª rodada, o Gigante da Colina trocou de lugar com o Tricolor dos Pampas, colocando o oponente sulista no temido Z4.
O Cruz-maltino superou o Fortaleza por 3 a 0, enquanto o Imortal caiu para o SPFC, de virada, no MorumBIS, por 2 a 1. O Santos, por sua vez, também ocupa a zona da degola, e encara o Corinthians tentando deixar a penúltima posição na tabela. O alvinegro só somou cinco dos 24 tentos disputados.

Ao passo que ligou o alerta sobre os planteis dos três gigantes, Tostão foi convicto cravando o Palmeiras como o detentor do melhor conjunto do futebol brasileiro na atualidade. No entendimento do ex-jogador, o time de Abel Ferreira consegue ser compacto e variar na marcação de acordo com o jogo.
Ainda no texto opinativo, ele classificou que há uma valorização excessiva sobre o meio-campo e ataque do Flamengo, que em sua visão, tem algumas debilidades a serem ajustadas.
