Em entrevista ao DAZN, o diretor de futebol do time andaluz, Manu Fajardo, falou sobre o futuro do atacante. O dirigente revelou que já vem mantendo conversas com os Red Devils há algum tempo em relação ao brasileiro, garantindo que está usando de todos os esforços para conseguir a permanência do atleta.
“A gente vem conversando com o Manchester United desde o dia seguinte à chegada do Antony. Temos de cuidar do ativo, pois isso possibilita que os grandes clubes sigam confiando na gente neste mercado de transferências. Existe uma relação cordial e direta, de muito respeito e é lógico que estamos em contato com eles”. disse Fajardo.
“Vamos dar 200% para que, não somente o Antony, mas muitos jogadores desse nível possam chegar nos próximos anos”. completou o dirigente do Betis.
Só depois da Conference League?
Em declarações recentes, o diretor do time espanhol já havia afirmado que faria o ‘possível’ para que o brasileiro siga vestindo a camisa alviverde na próxima temporada. O próprio jogador, por sua vez, adotou tom ‘misterioso’ ao ser perguntado sobre o que seria de seu futuro.
Por enquanto, o pensamento do jogador será na final da Conference League, na qual enfrentará o Chelsea no próximo dia 28, em Wroclaw (Polônia). Possivelmente depois deste período é que a situação de Antony poderá ser resolvida entre as partes.
